How does MoneyGram store my data and keep it secure?
MoneyGram cares about your personal information. MoneyGram uses industry-accepted database and network technologies to encrypt and protect consumer data stored in our database system, transmitted within our network or to partner networks, and to third-party providers who may assist MoneyGram with services. MoneyGram maintains a robust information security program that drives compliance with data protection standards.
How can I delete my personal information?
You can delete your MoneyGram data by submitting a request via our Privacy Contact Us Form and selecting Delete my personal information in the request type drop-down menu. However, due to certain regulatory requirements MoneyGram may be obliged to retain your personal information for a specific period and in those instances, we will let you know.
What should I do if I suspect someone else is using my data?
If you suspect that someone unauthorized has access to your data, please contact us as soon as possible. You can reach us by notifying us via our Privacy Contact Us Form and selecting “I suspect someone unauthorized has access to my data.” in the request type drop-down menu. Please provide a description of what has happened and include your contact information so that our Privacy Team can reach back to you if needed and process your request without undue delay.
How long will MoneyGram keep my data for?
We will store your data for as long as: it is necessary to provide our services to you as requested by you, we have your consent to process and store your data for direct marketing purposes, we are required to do so by applicable laws including but not limited to financial, tax, social security, AML, and privacy regulations, it is justified by our legitimate interest provided your rights and freedoms are safeguarded and are not negatively impacted by such storage.
