What is the 'right to restrict processing'?
Under this right, you can ask MoneyGram to restrict the processing of your personal data (limit the activities in which we use your personal data) if:
you believe that your personal data which we hold is inaccurate – in this case we will restrict (limit) the processing activities of such data until it is corrected and becomes fully accurate as instructed by you,
you believe that our processing of your personal data is unlawful i.e., that we process your personal data without a lawful ground such as a legal obligation, your consent, or our legitimate interest and still you do not want us to delete your data, but would rather we restrict (limited) the processing activities of this data instead,
you believe that we no longer need to process your personal data because for example you no longer use our services, have withdrawn your consent for marketing communications or you believe that any laws which required us to store your data no longer apply but you want us to store your data in any case because you believe you may need to use this data in any ongoing or future legal proceedings such as for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims,
you have objected to our processing of your personal data, and we are in the process of verifying whether we can rely on our legitimate interest to continue to process your personal data despite your objection – until we conclude the verification process you can request that we restrict the processing of your personal data. We will notify you if your request has been fulfilled and the processing of your personal data has been restricted.
