Why can’t I find my bank when I try to add an account?
We use Trustly to connect your other bank accounts to your MoneyGram Account. If you can’t find your bank or receive an error, it may not be part of Trustly’s network. You can also add an account using your other bank’s debit card. If that still doesn’t work, you may be able to initiate your transfer through your other bank’s banking platform if they support ACH money transfers. You'll need to provide them with your MoneyGram Account routing and account number, which can be found in the app. Log into the mobile app and then: Go to MoneyGram Account Tap Account Information to see your account details Tap the Copy icon next to Routing or Account number to easily copy and paste Then follow your other bank's instructions for connecting your MoneyGram Account. Can't find those instructions? Ask them how to transfer funds from your account to another bank.
Where do I find my account and routing number?
You can find that information in the app. Simply log into your MoneyGram Money Transfers app, go to MoneyGram Account and tap Account Information to see your account details. Our routing number is 273070278.
When will my recipient receive funds when sending from my MoneyGram Account?
Transfers between MoneyGram Accounts are available within minutes subject to system availability and compliance with regulatory requirements. Money sent from your MoneyGram Account using other receive methods may take longer. The availability of funds for the receiver will be noted at the time of your transaction so you can best decide how to send funds.
Can I make international purchases with my debit card?
In most countries you can use your MoneyGram Debit Card anywhere Visa is accepted for purchases internationally.
Is there a fee for using my card internationally?
Yes, you will be charged a 3% foreign transaction fee for each transaction made internationally. When using your MoneyGram Debit Card at an international ATM, there with be a $3 + 3% foreign transaction fee in addition to any surcharge being assessed by the ATM owner. Currency exchange rates may apply for international transactions. Please refer to the MoneyGram Account Agreement for a list of fees.
What is the limit for sending money using my MoneyGram Account?
There are limits on different transactions involving the MoneyGram Account. You can see how much you are able to send when you initiate your transfer.
Is there a fee for sending money using my MoneyGram Account?
Transfers between MoneyGram Accounts are free of charge. Money sent from your MoneyGram Account using other receive methods will be subject to fees for that method, which are displayed to you at the time of your transaction.
What fees will be charged on the MoneyGram Account?
Please refer to the MoneyGram Account Agreement for a list of applicable fees.
How do I sign up for direct deposit?
You can ask your employer to direct deposit your paycheck to your MoneyGram Account. Simply provide your employer with your MoneyGram Account number and routing number which you can find in the app. Simply log in to your MoneyGram Money Transfers app, go to MoneyGram Account, and tap on Account Information to see your account details.
How do I send money to friends and family using my MoneyGram Account?
You can transfer funds from your MoneyGram Account to other MoneyGram Accountholders quickly and with no fees attached! Fees may apply if sending to someone that does not have a MoneyGram Account. To initiate a transfer using your MoneyGram Account, simply log into the MoneyGram Money Transfers app and follow these steps: Navigate to the Send feature Enter the desired amount to transfer Select your MoneyGram Account as the payment method Select the receive method of your choosing Provide your receiver’s information Review and confirm the transfer information to complete the process
How do I link my card or bank account to my MoneyGram Account?
You can link your account by logging into the MoneyGram Money Transfers app and following these steps: Go to your MoneyGram Account Tap My cards & banks Tap Add Account Choose the appropriate option by tapping Debit Card or Bank Account To add a debit card, enter your card information and tap Continue To add a bank account, tap on your bank or type the name in the search area at the top, then enter your login and tap Agree & Sign In Once linking is complete, you can initiate your transfer. Availability of funds and any applicable fees will be displayed before submitting the transactions.
How do I put money in my MoneyGram Account?
There are several options for depositing funds into your MoneyGram Account: Linked external bank account transfer You can link your external bank account through the mobile app using Trustly. All you need is your external bank’s login credentials for verification. Once your account is linked, you can transfer funds to/from your bank account and your MoneyGram Account. Funds are typically available within 3 business days. If your bank is not part of the Trustly network, you can use one of the other methods below or initiate a transfer from your other bank directly. Debit card Add your debit card(s) as a funding method and you can quickly add funds to your Account. Fees may apply for this service and will be disclosed at the time you initiate the transfer. Direct deposit You can ask your employer to direct deposit your paycheck to your MoneyGram Account. Simply provide your employer with your MoneyGram Account number and routing number and you’re good to go! Cash You can select Cash as the payment method when setting up a money transfer to your MoneyGram Account in the MoneyGram app. Then go to your selected MoneyGram location to complete the funding.
